Looking down the grocery aisles, are you ever overwhelmed with the choices? I was recently in Italy and in the supermarket I visited, there were 3 aisles of pasta!!

Spending time agonizing over choices can leave us drained.

Seth Godin talks about "choosing without deciding". Just pick something, especially when it comes to simple choices. This leaves more time for making the important decisions - around your personal life, your business.

It's hot and the corn may not be quite as high as an elephant's eye... but it won't be long.

Time to kick back, contemplate the Fall and how you'll get to all that "stuff" when Summer's over.

Absolutely - take some time out and get in the chill zone.... and it's also critical to keep doing the work or... guess what you'll find when you look behind in September...

Fix the "broken pieces"; do the healing before we do our creative work. What's wrong with this idea?

The pieces that need healing are Not the part we create from. "Healing first" is just another form of our old enemy, Resistance.

If we wait until it's all fixed, we'll never get our creative pieces out there in the world that is waiting for them.

Working on our "stuff" is important and I'm all for it, but don't wait until you're fully baked, or you'll never do it.

MICHAEL: Don't knock rationalization. Where would we be without it? I don't know anyone who can get through the day without two or three juicy rationalizations. They're more important than sex.

SAM; Aw, come on! Nothing's more important than sex.

MICHAEL; Oh yea? Have you ever gone a week without a rationalization?!

from Lawrence Kasdan's "The Big Chill"

....and Rationalization may well be Resistance's "right-hand man".

What are you rationalizing about Not doing this week?

We can always find good ones to stop us from doing what we're supposed to create.
